RecipeFix is designed to be helpful in the kitchen without collecting your personal data.
RecipeFix is a Chrome extension that reads the ingredients on a recipe page and adds small tappable badges into the directions so you can mark each ingredient as you use it. Everything happens locally in your browser while you view recipes.
To highlight ingredients and show badges, RecipeFix needs to read the content of web pages you visit. This processing is done only to:
This analysis happens entirely in your browser. The extension does not send this page content, your browsing history, or your cooking activity to any server.
RecipeFix does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. This means:
RecipeFix does not download or run code from remote servers in order to work. The extension’s logic is packaged with the extension itself and runs directly in your browser, under the normal protections provided by Chrome extensions.
RecipeFix is built to support recipes across many different websites, not just one or two. For that reason, the extension requests permission to run on all websites in your browser. This permission is used only so that RecipeFix can:
Even with this broad access, all processing stays on your device. RecipeFix does not send the pages you visit, or any of their contents, to an external service.
RecipeFix does not target children and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because the extension does not collect personal data, there is no profile or account associated with any user.
If this privacy policy ever changes in a significant way, the updated version will be published on the RecipeFix website so you can review it. Any changes that would involve collecting or sharing personal data would be clearly explained and would not apply to you without your consent.
